Psychologist wraps up 23 years with Community Health

3 December 2007

After 23 years providing counselling services to people in Armidale and surrounds, Clinical Psychologist Stephan Knoerles has officially finished his role with Armidale Community Health last week, but will continue with his private practice.

Stephan says there has been a number of rewarding achievements which he will take with him.

He said it has always been a privilege to witness change taking place in client’s lives.

"It was also rewarding to receive thankyou letters from clients, often years after their last appointment. This suggests that that what these clients have gained has been sustained and life changing.

"I have also had the privilege of supervising a number of psychologists who were genuinely open to new learning and insights in personally challenging situations and grow wings," he said.

Tablelands Cluster General Manager, Wendy Mulligan, said she is extremely grateful to Stephan for his esteemed professional psychology services for over two decades.

"Stephan’s personal and professional contribution to the Community Health Services at Armidale, as well as visiting services to Inverell, will be greatly missed.

"We wish him every happiness and success for the future," she said.
