Caring for someone with mental illness? Need a break?
If you care for a person with a mental illness on a permanent or part time basis, new government funding for carer respite services might give you the chance to take a break.
Through the Commonwealth Care Respite Centre significant funding has been made available specifically for those caring for a person with mentall health issues.
This funding includes a range of respite options like long and short-term relief for those caring for a friend or loved one.
Being a primary carer can be a time consuming role and everyone needs a break or just to spend some time alone.
For further information, please contact the Commonwealth Care Respite Centre free of charge on 1800 059 059. (Mobile phone charged at mobile rates).
