Service of hope and remembrance in Nundle

People touched by cancer will have the opportunity to support each other and pray for developments in cancer research at an ecumenical service in Nundle later this month.

The Daffodil Day service is open to anyone in the community who has lost a loved one or friend to cancer or anyone who would like to give thanks for healing, pray for improvements in diagnosis and keep in their thoughts a person with cancer.

Nundle Health Service Nurse Practitioner Sue Denison said the service is a chance to celebrate the survivorship of many who have experienced cancer.

“The service will include members of the medical professional, staff from Nioka, Breastscreen and the NSW Cancer Council,” Mrs Denison said.

“As part of the service people will be invited to come forward and put a daffodil in the vase in memory of a person who has died of cancer.”

The service will be held at the All Saint’s Anglican Church in Nundle on Sunday 26 August starting at 10am. It will be followed by morning tea.
