Innovation and Reform
The activities of the Innovation and Reform Unit are governed by the Innovation and Reform Advisory Committee. The Committee provides leadership, integration and direction for innovation and reform activities across Hunter New England Health.
The Executive Lead of Innovation and Reform is Dr Nigel Lyons, Chief Executive, Hunter New England Health.

Goals
The goals of the Innovation and Reform Unit are to:
- Contribute to improved patient care and outcomes
- Significantly contribute to major Hunter New England Health strategies
- Create an environment for critical thinking and innovation
- Build capacity, expertise and knowledge for reform
- Communicate outcomes of innovation and reform activities
Functions
The Innovation and Reform Unit has three functional areas:
- Innovation Think Tank
- Methods Group
- Implementation Support through the Maggie Program
