Orientation

At the beginning of each semester, orientation occurs for new medical staff coming into HNET. Orientation also occurs for Junior Medical Officers (JMOs) at the beginning of each JMO rotation. All new doctors to HNET will receive a comprehensive orientation pack with relevant information and forms required. For late starters who miss orientation, this pack should contain everything you need to get started, and an individual mini-orientation will be arranged with you. Some of the forms new doctors may require are able to be downloaded below. Otherwise, please contact HNET who can help with anything you may need.
The first part of orientation can be completed online (you will need to apply for a login access to MyLink). Click here to complete orientation online. You can also download the New Staff Orientation Guide (pdf) 1.1M.
The second part of orientation is a mandatory training day. Contact HNET to book in your mandatory training day.
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), in collaboration with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, has developed an online orientation program to support overseas trained doctors in their work within the Australian mental health system.
