Anaesthesia - Major Haemorrhage
Aim
To prepare anaesthesia providers for managing major haemorrhage
Outline
This half day course:
- uses a combination of facilitated discussions and simulations to help participants develop and practise the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to manage major haemorrhage and the complications that arise
- including cardiovascular instability and coagulopathy
- will satisfy the ANZCA 2014 CPD program requirements for Major Haemorrhage
- promotes a team-based approach and anaesthesia assistants are encouraged to attend with their medical colleagues
