·        The Hunter Drug Information Service is located in the Toxicology and Pharmacology Unit of the Calvary Mater Hospital in Waratah, Newcastle. Its purpose is to provide information on medications to health professionals working within Hunter New England Health Service. It is staffed by trained drug information pharmacists who are supported by clinical pharmacologists.

·         HDIS is able to provide timely, clinically relevant, drug information to doctors, nurses and pharmacists of HNEHS, to aid in patient related medication management.

·         Enquiries may be faxed (49211372) or emailed (h.dis@mater.health.nsw.gov.au) using the Drug Information Enquiry Form or health professionals can telephone 02 49211278 to discuss their enquiry personally

·         Basic instruction and education in drug information resources is also available
