Social Work
Social Work is a profession committed to the pursuit of social justice. Social workers are trained in the fields of casework, group work, advocacy, social welfare policy, and community development work.
To practise, Social Workers have a four-year degree in social work and must be eligible for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Where we work
Social Workers work in a range of settings including: hospitals, community health, mental health, drug and alcohol, migrant health, child protection, social security, sexual assault, domestic violence, management, training, and social policy.
Social Workers work with people of all ages. They work in government agencies, non-government services, private practice, and consultancy.

Social Workers provide individual and family counselling to address a range of problems, for example:
