Management Structure FAQs
II can't see my unit in the structure - where do we fit in?
The diagram shows those positions which work closely with the CEO. I expect the next level of the management structure to be approved in the near future and it will be issued at that time. As details for further levels are released you will be able to see how our existing organisations move to the new structure.
When is the next level of positions advertised?
The next level of the management structure will be approved in the near future and details of the process for recruitment to these positions will be issued at that time.
What are Managed Clinical Networks?
Managed Clinical Networks enable linked groups of health professionals from primary care, secondary and tertiary care to work together in a coordinated manner, unconstrained by existing professional and previous health service boundaries.
Managed Clinical Networks shift the emphasis from buildings towards patients and services. In our new structure, the Director of Operations - Acute Networks and the Director of Operations - Primary and Community Networks are responsible for the management of facilities AND the effective delivery of specific clinical services across these facilities. Stream leaders are responsible for the delivery of specified clinical streams across hospital and community settings.
Each network will be responsible for the delivery of disease prevention and population health services, as well as primary and acute health care.
The networks span hospital groups and clusters.
What are hospital groups and clusters?
The Director of Operations- Acute Networks will manage the operation of key acute facilities in four hospital groups. The hospital groups are listed on the diagram. A patient flow manager(s) will work across hospital groups to assist in managing the intersections of care.
The Director of Operations - Primary and Community Networks will manage the smaller hospitals, primary health centres and other community health facilities in clusters. The clusters are listed on the diagram over the page. A patient flow manager(s) will work across hospital groups to assist in managing the intersections of care.
I can't see my facility in the clusters?
Facilities have been allocated to clusters but they may not appear on the map. Your facilities should be encompassed by a cluster circle. If you are still uncertain please contact us at ceo.news@hnehealth.nsw.gov.au.
How do I get more information?
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask your manager. If they don't yet know the answer please email your questions to ceo.news@hnehealth.nsw.gov.au.
Information will be updated on the intranet site and notice boards as it becomes available.
The next management forum will be held in Muswellbrook on April 22.
