Chief Executive Statement of Ethics and Accountabilities

The Hunter New England Health Chief Executive is responsible to the Director General NSW Health for corporate, clinical and public sector governance systems and outcomes. The Chief Executive also has responsibilities in relation to the Area Health Advisory Council and other key stakeholders on specific governance matters.

The Chief Executive observes and complies with the Code of Conduct of NSW Health and the  Code of Conduct of the  Area Health Service together with specific directives from the Director General.

The Chief Executive also abides by conduct, independence and good governance principles as well as key Chief Executive accountabilities.

Chief Executive performance is reviewed by the Director General NSW Health and the Chief Executive in accordance with the Chief Executive employment contract.

Effective governance will require the Chief Executive to engage the stakeholders listed below. The relationship will formally address reporting requirements, obligations and accountabilities.
