Stage One - Acute Services Building - Delivered

Construction of the new Tamworth Hospital Acute Services Building (ASB) finished in mid-2015 and clinical services including the emergency department, the intensive care unit, operating theatres, children’s ward, maternity and birthing services and many more, moved into the new hospital building in July 2015.

Stage Two - Underway

$5.8 million was allocated in the 2016/17 NSW Budget to complete the $211 million redevelopment of Tamworth Hospital.  

Stage Two of the Tamworth Hospital Redevelopment includes refurbishment of the Bruderlin and 1883 buildings on the Tamworth Hospital campus. 

All works are expected to be completed in early 2017, and a number of services have already relocated to their new homes in the Bruderlin Building.​
