The Healthcare Interpreter Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our Multicultural Health Unit is available to assist patients and their families from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds who are not fluent in English and people who are deaf that require a signing interpreter in accessing hospital services.

The John Hunter Hospital Aboriginal Liaison Officer is available to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.

Someone to listen when you need to talk
Support and counsel whenever you need it
The Sacraments are available at any time
Pastoral carers routinely visit all wards. You will be asked on admission if you would like to access chaplaincy services during your stay.
