  • University of New England -The University of New England was formed in 1938 as the New England University College, a College of the University of Sydney. The University became fully independent in 1954 and pioneered teaching to external students by correspondence, making UNE Australia's most experienced provider of distance and now online education. UNE is Australia's oldest regional university offering more than 200 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and higher degree research levels. 
  • Joint Medical Program -The Joint Medical Program (JMP) is unique partnership collaboration between Hunter New England Health (HNEH), the University Of Newcastle (UNCLE) and the University of New England (UNE) – an Australian first. The JMP initiative is an innovative, cost-effective response to the chronic shortage of doctors in regional, rural and remote areas of the Hunter and New England regions and across Australia.  From 2008, the BMed - JMP will be delivered across the two universities capitalizing on both institutions long traditions of excellence and achievement. The JMP offers an exciting prospect for the future of medical education and training in which formal partnerships provide the platform to ensure top level student experience is provided in environments that will encourage graduate doctors to work in areas of workforce shortage. 
  • TAFE - New England Institute is a Registered Training Organisation that is recognised throughout the North and North West of New South Wales as the most important and significant provider of vocational education and training in the region. Armidale TAFE is a major campus specialising in agriculture, childcare, information technology and tertiary preparation for university entry. Also offers courses in music, biological science, multimedia, massage therapy, ecotourism, film industry (screen), tourism and hospitality, automotive, carpentry and joinery, and engineering.
